Butterfly Vocabulary

• Abdomen:
  The hind part of the butterfly body

• Antennae:
  A butterfly's antenna is shaped like a club on the head of the butterfly. A butterfly uses it's antenna to smell and sniff air.

• Caterpillar:
  The larval stage of a butterfly or moth. The second stage of the butterfly life cycle.

• Compound eyes:
  A compound eye have a very large view angle and can see fast objects. They usually consist of thousands of individual units and can combine inputs from units.

• Insects:
  Insects have a three-part body (head, thorax, and abdomen), 6 jointed legs, compound eyes, and two antennaes.Butterfly is a kind of flying insects.

• Metamorphosis:
  Metamorphosis is a changing process that an animal develops through abrupt change in its body structure and a change of habitat or behavior.

• Migrate:
  Butterfly migration is the seasonal movement of butterflies from one place to other places. They also migrate in groups.

• Pupa:
