How to write a riddle

  • Ask your 3rd grade students find an interesting gadget and create a riddle for their classmates.

  • Write 3 or 4 clues to help other poeple guess what gadget is, but do not give out too much information.

  • Write sentences like "What am I? " to make a riddle.

  • Students can draw a picture of the gadget they wrote about.

  • Students can read their riddles and show the pictures and ask their classmates to guess what gadget their riddles are aboue.

  • An example:

  • Clue #1: I have a metal blade.

    Clue #2: I have a plastic handle.

    Clue #3: I peel skin of fruits.

    What am I ?
