Mountain range: a row or group of mountains bordered by highlands or separated from other mountains. Individual mountains within the same mountain range often share same geology.
Peninsula: land almost surrounded by water, or land sticking out of the water
Ocean: a large body of water that covers three fourths of the earth's surface
Bay: a portion of the ocean that is mostly enclosed by land. Bays generally have calmer waters than the surrounding sea.
Lake: a body of water that is surrounded by land on the surface of earth, usually localized to the bottom of basin.
Valley: a valley is also known as a dale. An area of low land between two hills.
