Tadpoles



Tadpoles are young frogs that live in the water. They are also called polliwogs. They are one of the early stage of the life cycle of a frog or toad.

Tadpoles eat decaying animal matter and plants. They also eat eggs of other frogs .

They swim by their tails, just like most fishes do.

When tadpoles grow mature, they will have their legs first and then the arms.They also have lungs developed at the time their legs growing. When tadpoles grow into frogs or toads, they can live on land and breath air.
